Two sister cats that have eight kittens are one of the most popular habitants of the shelter.
Earlier this month, Exploits Valley SPCA welcomed two cat moms with eight kittens who were in desperate need of help. The cat moms were very small, weighing about four pounds each. They were barely a year old. «These alleged sisters have eight kittens, which they completely share,» explained Sarah from Exploits Valley SPCA.
«They are really inseparable and even walk with their tails tied»
With the help of numerous volunteers, a large family of 10 people moved into a cozy and spacious suite of the shelter, where they could play with an assortment of toys and have a lot of food at their disposal.
Sister pussies, Xeno and Ripley, had kittens at the same time and started breeding them together. As the kittens grow and become more independent, both mothers spend more time at the glass door and strive to attract the attention of passers-by. They will walk side by side to the door, often with their tails intertwined.
» Their favorite activity in the shelter is to sit at the door and watch what happens in the corridor! They are very friendly cats,» Sarah said.
